Stacy Shaw named Lottery’s director for corporate social responsibility
Sept. 7, 2016 - Salem, Ore. – Acting Lottery Director Barry Pack recently named Stacy Shaw to the newly created post of director of corporate social responsibility for the Oregon Lottery. This position reflects the Lottery’s commitment to promoting responsible gambling and providing information about assistance available to problem gamblers. Shaw will also expand the Lottery’s social responsibility work to include focused attention and strategic planning on a number of key areas.
As director of corporate social responsibility, Shaw will oversee the Lottery’s Responsible Gambling and Problem Gambling programs, provide strategic advice and direction on stakeholder engagement for the agency’s varied programs, and help ensure that as the Lottery develops gaming and business strategies, responsible gambling is included in every step from planning through implementation.
“Stacy has led the Lottery’s responsible gambling efforts for the past three years with great results including our two recent national awards for corporate social responsibility and the certification of our responsible gambling program by the National Council on Problem Gambling and the National Association of State and Provincial Lotteries,” said Acting Director Pack. “Our focus on implementing our Responsible Gambling Code of practice has put responsible gambling at the heart of the Lottery’s work and has made Oregon a national leader in this area. This new position will help take the Lottery to the next stage of social responsibility.”
Oregon Lottery proceeds provide funding for free, confidential and effective problem gambling treatment programs statewide. Since 1992, over $92 million in Lottery funds has been directed to fund problem gambling treatment.
