It will be the second consecutive year Lotterywest is set to break records after raising a record $283 million for the WA community in the previous financial year of 2014/15. Lotterywest CEO Paul Andrew said it was thanks to WA Lotto players and their support in purchasing Lotterywest Games that these key milestones could be achieved. “WA is unique; we’re the only State where the money raised from lottery products is distributed directly back to the community by way of both direct grants to not-for-profit organisations and local government authorities, and through our support for the State’s hospitals, sporting and arts and cultural organisations. Through this, the lives of all Western Australians are enhanced,” he said.
TORONTO - The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. says lottery sales were down $115 million in 2014-15 due to fewer big jackpots and higher ticket prices.
"While favourable circumstances certainly helped, the renewal strategy we implemented over the past two years and efficient management across all our sectors were the main drivers of our success," explained Simon Patenaude, Loto-Québec's Acting President and CEO.
